An opportunity is now available for an
experienced System Engineer to join our dynamic organisation.
Your primary responsibility will be for improving and maintaining
our ISP security model for all systems and supporting the
infrastructure for key business applications. Your role
will involve external consultancy, providing commercial
IT solutions for a diverse range of clients. Your experience should include several of the
following technologies or skills:
- Unix Administration: Linux, SCO Unixware, BSD or
other UNIX
- Microsoft Windows Administration: Windows NT4, W2K
or later
- Internet Applications: DNS, Web Servers (Apache/IIS),
Squid
- Computer Hardware: Intel platforms, Tape Drives,
Disk Arrays etc.
- Data Networking: Cisco Routers & Switches
- IT Infrastructure: ITIL, Computer Operations and
Data Centres
- Security: IDS, Firewalls and practical experience
in IT Security
ISP experience will be an advantage.
Experience with SQL2000 and Rodopi or other Internet billing
systems will be highly regarded.
Ideally, you will have formal certifications
in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or a related discipline.
In addition, you may have technical qualifications such
as Red Hat Cert Eng, CCNA/CCNP, MCSE. Finally, your communications
and inter-personnel skills, combined with complex problem
solving and analytical abilities, are some of your real
strengths.
