IF not you will need to proceed through the Internet Access setup process described here to enable your computer to connect to the Internet

If you are using a network, consult your Network Administrator BEFORE you go through any steps of this setup.

Your modem allows you to dial DALTRON and connect to the Internet. You’ll also be using your modem to register an account. Make sure the modem is connected to your computer and is switched on. Windows 95/98 may have already been configured for your modem in which case the following section can be skipped.

Click on Start, Select Settings and then Control Panel. Double click on Modems. If this is the first time you have installed a modem, the Install New Modem Wizard will automatically run. Otherwise, double click on the Add button.

Note: A wizard is a program that helps you through difficult or complex tasks by presenting a series of simple questions.

Click on Next. Windows 95/98 will check for a modem on all COM ports and attempt to identify your modem. This process will take a few seconds to complete.

If the modem shown is not your modem then click on Change, choose your modem manufacturer from the Manufacturers list and the model from the Models list, then click on OK.

Refer to 'Install New Modem' screen shot: If your modem is not listed then contact your modem manufacturer. Depending on whether you have given your location information to Windows 95/98 before, the Location Information window may appear. Follow the on-screen instructions and then click on Next. Click on Next and then click on Finish. Click on OK.
